1978

Prudential California Realty, St. Francis Wood Office, is founded with a managing broker and one agent — Steve Spears. The original name is Franciscan Properties, Inc., and it was a franchise of well-respected Mason-McDuffie.

1979

Steve Spears becomes sales manager for Franciscan Properties.

1980

Steve Spears earns his broker's license and buys the company. His vision for the company: Hire the best people, pay them well and make the company the best in the business.

1985

Franciscan Properties becomes Prudential California Realty, St. Francis Wood Office, when Mason-McDuffie joins the Prudential Franchise.

1990

Prudential California Realty, St. Francis Wood Office, surpasses 50 agents on staff and $250 million in sales.

2001

Prudential California Realty, St. Francis Wood Office, surpasses 70 agents on staff and $400 million in sales.
